Fatal Lemon Grove car crash deaths of Nadia Charles and Joseph Saint Juste Jr. – Obituary
Cousins Nadia Charles, 20, and Joseph Saint Juste Jr., 20, were tragically killed on New Year’s Day in a traffic collision in Lemon Grove. Both victims lived with their family in the area.
The fatal incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on January 1, when an Acura sedan traveling eastbound collided with a southbound Toyota at the intersection of Buena Vista Avenue and Broadway.
Following the impact, the Acura veered off the road and struck Charles and Saint Juste, who were standing on the sidewalk.
Joseph Saint Juste Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene, while Nadia Charles was rushed to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
This devastating accident marked the beginning of a series of roadway fatalities in the San Diego region during the first week of 2025.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision as the community mourns the sudden loss of two young lives.
