The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office has reported that four of the five individuals wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Kendrick Lewis on Honey Lane in Opelousas are now in custody.
Authorities continue to search for 18-year-old Marques Sonnier, who is believed to have been the triggerman in the December 28, 2024, incident.
Sonnier faces numerous charges, including second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
The other suspects, including Joshua Lastrapes, Jasana Broussard, and two juveniles, have already surrendered to police.
