The Nogales Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of 54-year-old Luis Armenta, who was found wounded on Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call at 1:12 p.m. in the 400 block of Calle Sonora, where they discovered Armenta and transported him to Carondelet Holy Cross Hospital.
He later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed that the shooting took place in the 2000 block of Calle Trinidad.
Authorities have stated there is no immediate threat to the public, and the investigation is ongoing at both locations.
