Fatal Phoenix rideshare incident claims the life of 74-year-old Samuel Webster – Obituary
Samuel Webster, a 74-year-old rideshare driver, tragically lost his life in a violent incident in Phoenix. Police reported that the event unfolded on Tuesday around 5:15 p.m. near 40th Street and Baseline Road.
Officers responding to the scene discovered Webster with severe injuries and found a woman parked nearby. Webster was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities identified the woman involved as 31-year-old Jordan Spalding. Preliminary investigations revealed that an argument broke out between Webster and Spalding during the ride. Witnesses stated the car stopped by a canal, where both individuals exited the vehicle. Spalding allegedly got back into the driver’s seat and ran over Webster multiple times.
Spalding has been arrested and is facing charges of second-degree murder. The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
