Two 22-year-old lifelong friends from Aurora, Bryce Reinhard and Wesley “Wes” Beitler, were identified as victims of a tragic car crash in Glenview that occurred early on January 19, 2025.
The crash, which also claimed the life of a third unidentified passenger, happened near West Lake Avenue and Pfingsten Road.
Authorities reported that Glenview police and firefighters responded to the scene at around 4:30 a.m., where they found a vehicle engulfed in flames with three occupants inside. The fire was extinguished, but all three were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Bryce’s father, Jeremy Reinhard, the pair were traveling from Chicago to the north suburbs to drop off the third victim, a woman whose identity remains unknown.
Preliminary investigations suggest the car skidded off the road, struck a tree, and ignited, though the exact cause of the crash and deaths is still under investigation.

Wesley Beitler, an accomplished athlete, excelled in cross country running. A Waubonsie Valley High School graduate, he had set records and continued his athletic career in college. The Aurora Beacon News previously highlighted his achievements in 2019.
