Fatal St. Andrew shooting death of Kevaughn Fearon – Obituary
Police have confirmed the identity of the 12-year-old boy tragically killed in a shooting this morning at the intersection of Lindsay Crescent and Dunrobin Avenue, St. Andrew.
The victim, identified as Kevaughn Fearon, was traveling with his mother when the attack occurred. She too was injured in the incident, while a third person in the vehicle managed to escape without harm.
According to police reports, the mother was driving her car and had come to a stop at a traffic light when two men on a motorcycle approached. The assailants then opened fire on the vehicle.
After the shooting ceased, both the mother and her son were found wounded. They were rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies, where Kevaughn was pronounced dead. His mother is currently receiving medical treatment.
Investigations are underway, led by the St. Andrew North Criminal Investigations Branch, as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack.
