Austin authorities have confirmed that 47-year-old Jarren T. Wallingsford lost his life in a deadly collision early Monday morning. The accident occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of East Parmer Lane and Samsung Blvd. in Northeast Austin.
According to police, Wallingsford was driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Tragically, he did not survive. The driver of the other vehicle suffered severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
This incident marks Austin’s third fatal crash of the year, bringing the total number of traffic-related deaths in the city to three.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash, and the identity of the injured driver has not been released.
