Fatal Greenfield, MA workplace accident death of Matthew Nedorostek – Obituary
Matthew Nedorostek, 66, of Westfield, lost his life in a workplace accident on Friday morning in Greenfield.
Authorities reported that he fell into a concrete hopper at a plant located on Cleveland Street.
The site was used by a Chicopee-based concrete company to mix dry ingredients for cement. According to Nedorostek’s co-workers, he had climbed to the top of a tower before they noticed his absence.
When he failed to respond to a radio call, they realized something was wrong.
