Fatal Louisville shooting death of Davion Charles – Obituary
Davion Charles, 19, was shot and killed on January 28, 2025, in Louisville’s east end, according to authorities.
Louisville Metro Police responded to the 8800 block of Malvern Hill Road, near Westport Road, at 2:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Charles inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified Charles as the victim on Saturday.
Police initially arrested a man in connection with the shooting, but after further investigation, he was not charged with murder. Officials have not released additional details about the case but confirmed that all individuals involved have been accounted for.
