Serenity Spencer, 24, lost her life in a shooting that took place on Sunday night near Wendell, North Carolina. Authorities from the Wake County Sheriff’s Office have classified the incident as a homicide and launched an investigation.
Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Hodge Road at approximately 10:40 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Spencer suffering from a gunshot wound. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but tragically passed away on Monday morning.
Investigators suspect that the shooting was the result of a pre-existing dispute and have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat. However, no arrests have been made at this time.
