Robert Johnson, 29, was found dead early Sunday morning following a shooting in East Lubbock, Texas. Authorities with the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit have confirmed his identity as they continue their investigation.
Police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:02 a.m. on February 2 at a residence in the 1900 block of East Baylor Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Johnson inside the home with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional law enforcement officers were deployed to secure the area while investigators worked to gather evidence.
