Warran Joyce dies in fatal Stoneville shooting

Fatal Stoneville shooting death of Warran Joyce – Obituary

Warran Joyce, a 47-year-old man, was shot and killed in Stoneville on January 31 following an altercation.

 

Stoneville police responded to reports of gunfire around 12:45 p.m. in the 300 block of South Henry Street. Upon arrival, officers found Joyce in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Miguel Angel Corona, was located at the residence and taken into custody without resistance. Authorities confirmed that the shooting resulted from a dispute between Joyce and Corona.

 

Corona has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held at the Rockingham County Jail without bond.
