Authorities are investigating the death of 19-year-old Khamani Hicks, who was fatally shot in Southeast Washington, D.C. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to a call about an unconscious person in the 1300 block of Congress Street on the morning of February 4, 2025, around 8:33 a.m.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Hicks with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical teams attempted life-saving procedures, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for details leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
