Fatal Jackson County, Oklahoma crash death of Landreth Emswiler – Obituary
Landreth Emswiler, a corporal with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, tragically passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2025, following a vehicle crash in Jackson County. Emswiler, along with his two daughters, lost their lives in the accident, while his 8-year-old son suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Wichita Falls.
The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of US-62 and South County Road 194. The cause of the collision is still under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the grieving family, and a benefit dinner will be held to raise additional funds.
