Fatal Decatur wreck death of Michael Utech – Obituary
Michael Utech, 34, lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Indian Hills Road in Decatur on Saturday night.
The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when Utech’s SUV veered off the road and crashed into a ditch. Emergency responders from Decatur police and fire and rescue arrived at the scene and found that Utech had been ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital for treatment.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
