Fatal Oakvale crash death of Ronald Dunn and Sheila Shriver – Obituary
Two local residents, Ronald Dunn, 72, and Sheila Shriver, 58, both from the Oakvale/Princeton area, tragically lost their lives in a crash on Friday in Oakvale. The incident occurred when their vehicle, attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of Rt. 460 to enter the westbound lanes, was struck by a truck traveling eastbound. The impact caused their car to be pushed into the median.
Both Ronald and Sheila were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was severely injured and flown to Roanoke for treatment. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
