Authorities have identified 27-year-old Soriah Berry as the victim of a tragic crash in Clapton on February 8.
The accident occurred just before 7 a.m. on Lea Bridge Road near its intersection with Clapton Road in Hackney. Berry was driving when her car collided with a stationary bus. Emergency responders from the London Ambulance Service transported her to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Berry’s next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from trained officers. No other serious injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are currently looking into the circumstances of the incident. Authorities have urged witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward to assist in the investigation.
A spokesperson for Transport for London expressed condolences, stating that they are working closely with Stagecoach London and the police to determine what happened.
