Fatal Carroll County shooting death of Douglas Hubler – Obituary
The body of 30-year-old Douglas Hubler, found under a tarp in Carroll County on February 7, has been identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner. The cause of death has been confirmed as a gunshot wound to the head, and the case has been classified as a homicide.
Hubler, originally from Pennsylvania, was believed to have been living in New York State. According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, his family had not been in contact with him for several months prior to his death.
Highway workers discovered his body off the roadway early Friday morning. Law enforcement, including the sheriff’s office, the county coroner, and BCI investigators, responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
