Fatal hit-and-run on Bowens Mill Road death of Willie Anthony Howard – Obituary
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 31-year-old Eloy Garcia in connection with the deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Willie Anthony Howard on Thursday morning.
Howard was struck by a red pickup truck near the Walmart on Bowens Mill Road, and the driver fled the scene.
After an extensive investigation supported by the community and various law enforcement agencies, Garcia was identified as the suspect and taken into custody.
He is currently held at the Coffee County Detention Center. The crash has deeply affected the local community as they mourn Howard’s tragic death.
