Vermont State Police have confirmed the identity of the man whose body was discovered in a burned-out vehicle last month in Warren.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on February 17, when a passing motorist noticed the fire in a parking lot along VT Route 100.
Firefighters arrived promptly and extinguished the flames. Upon searching the car, they found Jeremiah Wild, aged 29, lifeless in the driver’s seat.
An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was thermal burns and smoke inhalation. The official manner of death remains undetermined; however, authorities have stressed that the case does not appear suspicious.
