Herbert Tramel dies in fatal Bensalem Township, PA pedestrian crash

Fatal Bensalem Township, PA pedestrian crash death of Herbert Tramel – Obituary

Herbert Tramel, a 47-year-old man from Langhorne, was tragically killed after being hit by a vehicle while walking along Interstate 95 in Bensalem Township early last Thursday morning. The Pennsylvania State Police, from the Trevose Station, are leading the investigation into the fatal incident, which occurred around 2:42 a.m. on April 17.

 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene near Mile Marker 37, where Tramel had been struck by a 2016 Ram 1500. The vehicle was operated by a 45-year-old man from Philadelphia, who stopped immediately after the collision and attempted to assist Tramel until authorities arrived. He remained at the location and fully cooperated with the investigation.

 

Tramel was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead roughly an hour later by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner. Local police departments from both Bensalem and Bristol Township supported state troopers at the crash site as the investigation continues.
