Authorities have identified the person discovered deceased inside a burning clothing donation bin in Glens Falls early Thursday morning. Investigators confirmed that 43-year-old Michelle McFarren succumbed to fire-related injuries.
Emergency crews responded around 2:20 a.m. to reports of a fire at 70 Hudson Avenue, located in the parking lot of a pizza restaurant. After extinguishing the flames, responders found McFarren’s body inside the bin.
Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and the investigation remains ongoing. The donation bin was removed from the scene as evidence.
