Giuliani Calderon, a 12-year-old boy, tragically lost his life during a violent crime spree in Platte County, Missouri, on Friday, March 7, 2025.
The series of events began Thursday night when 43-year-old George Clyde Manning III allegedly killed 33-year-old Katherine Bjorklund after stealing her car.
Manning then took a man’s truck, crashed it, and shot and killed Giuliani while injuring his mother, Mercedes, at their home on NW 50th Street.
Giuliani was a 7th-grade student at Walden Middle School in the Park Hill School District, and his death has deeply impacted the community. The suspect was later killed by police and Homeland Security agents during a standoff.
