CHICAGO, IL — Alex Coleman Jr., 36, and Laquell Collins, 22, tragically lost their lives in a serious crash on the West Side of Chicago early Sunday morning, April 20, 2025. The collision occurred just after 2 a.m. when Coleman, driving a dark-colored sedan eastbound on Augusta Boulevard, ran a red light at Central Avenue and collided with Collins, who was driving another dark-colored sedan southbound. Coleman was later pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, while Collins also succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. A 35-year-old woman in the same sedan remains in critical condition, while the driver of the minivan was uninjured.
