Fatal Lawrence County crash results in the death of Matthew L. Ebert – Obituary
On Monday, April 28, 2025, a tragic two-vehicle collision on Alabama 20 claimed the life of 23-year-old Matthew L. Ebert from Athens.
Ebert was driving a 2012 Toyota Tacoma when he collided with a 2017 Freightliner tractor-trailer near the 45-mile marker, about one mile east of Town Creek.
Ebert was pronounced dead at the scene. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the incident.
