Fatal La Grange crash claims the lives of Melissa Ann Lane and Brett Lane – Obituary

Melissa Ann Lane, 49, and her husband, Brett Lane, 51, both of Hinsdale, tragically lost their lives in a seven-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon, April 25, 2025.

The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. at the intersection of 47th Street and Willow Springs Road in La Grange. Emergency responders transported five individuals to local hospitals, but Melissa and Brett were both pronounced dead.

The incident, which also left at least three others injured, remains under investigation by the La Grange Police Department and the Major Case Assistance Team.

The couple, parents of five children, were described as pillars of their community, with an obituary highlighting their love for family and their profound impact on those around them.
