Fatal Pomona shooting death of Maximo Sanchez – Obituary

Authorities are investigating the death of 20-year-old Maximo Sanchez, who was found fatally shot inside a residence in Pomona.

Officers from the Pomona Police Department responded to reports of gunfire early Friday morning around 4:38 a.m. at a motel located near East Holt Avenue and North Reservoir Street.

Upon arrival, police discovered Sanchez with gunshot wounds. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded but declared Sanchez deceased at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed that Sanchez died from a gunshot wound to the back. At this time, police have not released any information regarding a suspect.
