Fatal Lansing Walmart parking lot shooting death of Victoria L. Olson – Obituary
Victoria L. Olson, 66, of Thornton, was tragically shot and killed in a Walmart parking lot in Lansing on Saturday afternoon. Authorities responded to a report of gunfire at 1:45 p.m. on Torrence Avenue, where they found Olson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office confirmed Olson’s death as a homicide, and police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Adebowale A. Oyelekan, 40, of Lansing, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the incident. He is expected to appear in court in Markham.
