Fatal Davie County stabbing death of Mark Anthony Lewis – Obituary
Authorities in Davie County have identified a man who was fatally stabbed on Thursday evening. Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing around 7:42 p.m. at the 100 block of Clark Road, near Gladstone Road.
Upon arrival, investigators discovered 53-year-old Mark Anthony Lewis lying in the grass, unresponsive. Next to him, 25-year-old Zacharia Shade Shrewsbury was found covered in blood. Shrewsbury was immediately taken into custody and charged with murder, as well as two misdemeanor probation violations.
Shrewsbury was denied bond for the murder charge and was given a $15,000 secured bond for the probation violations. He is scheduled to appear in Davie District Court on March 20, 2025.
