James Roberts, a 24-year-old man with family and friends in Manchester, tragically lost his life after being struck by a car in the early hours of Saturday. The incident occurred just before 1:45 a.m. on Silver Street in Scarborough, where he was hit by a white Audi. Paramedics arrived on the scene but were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead at the location.
Following the crash, the vehicle was discovered in Peasholm Gardens, leading to the arrest of three men on suspicion of murder. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with relevant information, dashcam footage, or CCTV from the area to come forward.
James’ grieving family described him as an incredible person who brought joy to everyone around him. His mother and sister shared that he “never allowed his sparkle to be dulled” and that his presence made every room brighter. His father and sister added that his “smile and laughter were contagious” and that he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
