Mitchell B. Ferebee lost his life in a crash on Interstate 5 in Portland late on the night of February 27. The accident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. near Northeast Marine Drive.
Authorities reported that Ferebee was struck by a 1991 Honda Accord and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Honda sustained minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment. They have since been discharged.
Investigators found no evidence of impairment on the part of the driver. The incident remains under investigation as officials work to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
