Fatal Tonopah crash deaths of Norma Morales, Melinda Marie Kobald, and Dustin Levi Cluff – Obituary

Norma Morales, 41, of Whittier, California; Melinda Marie Kobald, 38, of Peoria, Arizona; and Dustin Levi Cluff, 41, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, were identified as three of the four victims who lost their lives in a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Tonopah.

 

The accident occurred on March 1, approximately 14 miles west of Tonopah. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash began with an initial collision, which then triggered a series of secondary crashes. In total, 12 vehicles were involved, including six commercial trucks, four passenger cars, and an RV towing a trailer. Several of the vehicles caught fire as a result.

 

Investigators are looking into whether blowing dust and reduced visibility contributed to the tragic incident. Authorities remind drivers to slow down in low-visibility conditions and follow safety guidelines. The fourth victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of their family.
