Kareem Sha-Kuan Zimmons dies in fatal Darlington County car crash

Fatal Darlington County car crash death of Kareem Sha-Kuan Zimmons – Obituary

Kareem Sha-Kuan Zimmons, a 25-year-old resident of Darlington, lost his life late Monday night after his vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree in Darlington County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 401 near Elliott Street. Zimmons was driving a 2014 Ford sedan heading north when the car left the roadway, struck a ditch, and then collided with a tree.

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee confirmed that Zimmons died at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Darlington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
