Fatal Harris County motorcycle crash death of Ricardo Barraza – Obituary

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday night in Harris County when a motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Ricardo Barraza from the Houston area, collided with a 2015 Nissan Murano.

The crash took place just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of W. Little York Road and a private driveway. Barraza, who was riding a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was reportedly traveling westbound when the driver of the SUV, 63-year-old Jesse Germany, attempted to cross the westbound lanes of traffic and enter the eastbound lanes. Preliminary reports suggest that Barraza was passing in a no-passing zone at the time of the collision. Despite wearing a helmet, Barraza was ejected from the motorcycle and was declared dead at the scene.

Germany, who was uninjured in the crash, was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Authorities confirmed that he cooperated with the investigation and showed no signs of impairment. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is leading the investigation into this deadly crash.
