Fatal Butler County vehicle fire death of Abdulrahman Young – Obituary
Authorities have identified the man who lost his life in a vehicle fire in Evans City last month.
On Wednesday, Butler Deputy Coroner Korynne Young confirmed that 26-year-old Abdulrahman Young, a resident of Coraopolis, died from injuries caused by extreme heat and smoke inhalation after the incident on February 7.
Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. at DuBrook Concrete, located at 600 S. Washington St. in Evans City.
The exact cause of the injuries leading to Young’s death remains undetermined. Responding agencies included the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit, the Butler County coroner’s office, and the Evans City Volunteer Fire Department.
Authorities had previously stated that an investigation was underway but found no indications of foul play.
