Fatal Midtown Memphis shooting death of Jah’Zaria Lewis – Obituary

Jah’Zaria Lewis, a woman in her 20s, was tragically found dead from a gunshot wound in Midtown Memphis on March 20. Police discovered her unresponsive at 1021 Melrose Street, where she had been shot in the stomach and lower left hip. Despite efforts from paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

After an extensive investigation, authorities identified Traileon Adell, 21, as the suspect. He was reportedly in a relationship with the victim. Adell, who had been driving a black Kia, confessed to the crime after police confronted him with evidence.

He explained that an argument over a car escalated, leading him to push Lewis out of the vehicle and later shoot an assault rifle in the air before fleeing. Adell has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held on a $300,000 bond. He is set to appear in court on Wednesday morning.
