Fatal Lincoln golf cart crash death of Thomas Gourlay – Obituary

56-year-old Thomas Gourlay has passed away from injuries sustained in a golf cart accident on April 19, 2025.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, Gourlay was driving a golf cart up his driveway in the Wilderness Ridge neighborhood when he veered off the path and into his front lawn.

The cart hit a rock, causing him to fall out, and investigators believe it may have run over him after he fell.

Police suspect that alcohol was a factor in the crash. Gourlay was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died from the crash. His family has been left in mourning.
