Fatal Northport motorcycle crash death of Matthew Bryan Mills – Obituary
Matthew Bryan Mills, a 39-year-old resident of Tuscaloosa, lost his life following a motorcycle accident in Northport on Friday morning.
The crash occurred around 8:17 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the 3100 block of McFarland Boulevard. Mills was riding a 2015 Yamaha Striker motorcycle when he collided with the rear of a 2003 Jeep Liberty, according to investigators.
Emergency responders, including Northport police, fire and rescue teams, and NorthStar Ambulance, arrived at the scene and transported Mills to a nearby hospital. Sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Northport Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the incident, though no criminal charges have been reported at this time.
