Fatal Bakersfield car crash death of Max Mooney and Desiree Mooney – Obituary
Max Mooney and Desiree Mooney, both 30 years old, lost their lives in a crash early Sunday morning in Bakersfield. The collision took place at the intersection of Coffee Road and Stockdale Highway.
Authorities reported that Max was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Desiree was rushed to Kern Medical, but despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The crash happened around 1:37 a.m. and involved two vehicles. Investigators believe that speed and alcohol played a role in the fatal incident. A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody in connection with the crash.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identities of the victims, and the investigation remains ongoing.
