Fatal Bensonhurst pedestrian accident death of Behcet Deluoglu – Obituary

On April 6, 2025, a tragic pedestrian accident in Bensonhurst, Kings County, led to the death of 61-year-old Behcet Deluoglu.

Deluoglu was walking west on 60th Street when he was struck by a Volkswagen Atlas traveling south on Bay Parkway around 8:00 p.m. He was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center, where he later passed away on April 25 from his injuries. The driver, a 48-year-old man, was unharmed and remained at the scene.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is actively looking into the cause of the accident, which remains under investigation. Deluoglu’s family may be entitled to seek justice through a wrongful death claim.
