Ra’jon Darquell Joseph, 26, lost his life in a deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning in an Aurora, Colorado parking lot. Authorities responded around 2:15 a.m. to the scene near East Mississippi Avenue and Chambers Road, where Joseph and another man were shot. Joseph was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries. The second victim sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

Police arrested 32-year-old Brandon Sutton later that afternoon on suspicion of first-degree murder. According to the investigation, Sutton knew both victims. Witnesses and video surveillance linked him to the shooting, which happened outside a local bar. The vehicle’s license plate, seen on security footage, was registered to Sutton. Authorities confirmed there are no other suspects at this time.
