Fatal Mounds View crash death of Kirby K. Schwarzkopf – Obituary

A tragic accident on Tuesday morning resulted in the death of 67-year-old Kirby K. Schwarzkopf from Brooklyn Park. The incident occurred on Interstate-35W in Mounds View, where Schwarzkopf was involved in a seven-vehicle crash, triggered by a merging conflict.

Authorities have confirmed that Schwarzkopf was driving a Chevrolet Impala without any passengers when the crash took place at approximately 10 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35W near County Road I.

The chain reaction left five individuals injured, including three drivers and two passengers, all of whom had non-life-threatening injuries. Four of the injured were transported to local hospitals, while five others reported no injuries.

Authorities have not disclosed which vehicles were involved in the initial conflict, although three of the vehicles were semi trucks. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but alcohol is not suspected to be a contributing factor.
