Fatal New Orleans, Louisiana shooting death of Patrick Prosper – Obituary

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed that 24-year-old Patrick Prosper was the victim found dead earlier this week in Pontchartrain Park. Officials determined his cause of death was a gunshot wound, and the case has been classified as a homicide.

Prosper’s body was discovered near a golf course close to Press Drive on Monday. A white Lexus was also seen being removed from a nearby pond by a city tow truck.

Responding agencies included the New Orleans Police Department, the city’s crime lab, and the New Orleans Fire Department. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting continues.
