James Andrew Parker dies in fatal Wilson County shooting

Fatal Wilson County shooting death of James Andrew Parker – Obituary

James Andrew Parker, 33, was killed during an exchange of gunfire with Wilson County deputies on April 29, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). The incident occurred in the 5100 block of Benders Ferry Road.

 

Deputies had responded to a domestic disturbance in the area that afternoon. According to preliminary findings, Parker had barricaded himself inside a residence. After hours of negotiation, he exited the home and allegedly opened fire on the deputies, who then returned fire.

 

Parker was shot and killed during the confrontation. None of the deputies involved were injured in the incident. The number of shots exchanged was not immediately confirmed.

 

At the request of 15th Judicial District Attorney General Jason Lawson, TBI agents are leading the investigation, following standard protocol for officer-involved shootings.
