Michael Crandall dies in fatal Oxford motorcycle and school bus crash

Fatal Oxford motorcycle and school bus crash death of Michael Crandall – Obituary

Michael Crandall, 61, of Oxford, lost his life following a collision involving his motorcycle and a school bus on April 29 in Oxford, New York.

 

Authorities from the New York State Police confirmed that Crandall was operating the motorcycle when it collided with a school bus at the intersection of County Road 35, State Route 220, and County Road 32. Crandall had been heading west while the school bus, affiliated with the Oxford Academy and Central School District, was traveling north at the time of the accident.

 

Emergency teams responded to the scene and Crandall was taken to UHS Wilson Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

 

The bus was carrying eight students between the ages of 10 and 14. A 12-year-old was checked by medical personnel at the site, but no further injuries were reported among the children.

 

The crash remains under investigation by state police.
