Fatal Bryce Canyon National Park fall death of Matthew Nannen and Bailee Crane – Obituary

Matthew Nannen, 45, and Bailee Crane, 58, tragically lost their lives after falling from a viewing area at Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah. On April 29, 2025, the bodies of the two individuals were discovered below Inspiration Point by tourists.

Authorities believe the pair may have crossed safety railings late on April 28 or early on April 29. While the exact cause of the fall remains unclear, officials identified the deceased as former Florida residents who had been traveling through Utah in a rented U-Haul after spending significant time in Arizona.
