Fatal Darlington County shooting death of Shaquille Wright – Obituary

Shaquille Wright, 28, was killed early Wednesday morning in a shooting that occurred in the Lamar area of Darlington County, South Carolina. Authorities confirmed he died at the scene.

The incident took place around 2 a.m. along West Lynches River Road. Darlington County Sheriff Michael August reported he was en route to the location an hour later, around 3 a.m.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, in coordination with the Darlington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

No additional details about suspects or a motive have been released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.
