The investigation revealed that Love had been seen with the suspect at the park, where a 911 caller reported witnessing an apparent attack. Police initially responded to the scene but did not investigate, a delay that Kaylah’s family believes may have cost her life. The suspect was arrested on Saturday and charged with first-degree murder, and he remains in custody.
