The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that 27-year-old Jared Aukerman was the victim in a deadly crash that occurred early on the morning of March 22, 2025. The incident took place around 4 a.m. on the Watterson Expressway, as Aukerman was reportedly speeding and attempting to take a ramp onto Interstate 64.
Authorities state that Aukerman lost control of his vehicle and collided with a barrier wall, causing the car to flip several times. Firefighters worked quickly to extricate him from the wreckage, and emergency medical teams rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead about an hour after the crash.
Officials confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
