Authorities in Orlando have identified 25-year-old Orlin Manuel Bueso Calderon as the individual fatally shot during a police-involved encounter Thursday night outside a local apartment complex.
According to officials, Calderon, who had prior criminal offenses, was seen brandishing what appeared to be a firearm and refused multiple orders from officers to drop it.
Officers opened fire when he did not comply. The weapon retrieved at the scene was later confirmed to be a replica closely resembling a Glock handgun.
